National Center of Afro-American Artists PRESENTS
Langston Hughes' Black Nativity
The National Center of Afro-American Artists is pleased to present its 49th season of Langston Hughes' Black Nativity, a gospel telling of the Christmas story. A highly energetic song-play narrated in black vernacular speech, our production features a dramatic "pas de deux" performed to African drums in which the dancing Mary delivers the newly born Christ Child to a mesmerized audience. You will be swept away by the cast of more than fifty joy-filled children, men and women lifting their voices in glee.
