A tragedy about the conspiracy to assassinate Julius Caesar, his subsequent murder, and the resulting civil war that tears Rome apart. Driven by fear of Caesar’s growing power and ambition, a group of senators, led by Cassius and Brutus, plot to kill him. While the assassination is successful, Mark Antony uses Caesar’s funeral oration to incite the Roman populace against the conspirators, leading to their downfall and a new period of conflict.
